Jim Vaughn, CEO, Director, Co-Founder

Jim Vaughn is CEO and Co-Founder of JAB Wireless, Inc. Mr. Vaughn has over 40 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, most notably in cable company consolidations. Mr. Vaughn co-founded FrontierVision Partners, L.P. where he served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and on the Board of Directors. FrontierVision, a rural cable system consolidation investment, from a start-up to a top ten multiple cable television system operator (MSO) with over 700,000 subscribers at the time it was sold to Adelphia Communications in 1999 for $2.1 billion.
Prior to Frontier Vision, Mr. Vaughn served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Triax Communications Corp., a top-20 multiple system operator (MSO) which grew from 30,000 subscribers to over 400,000 subscribers through acquisitions and organic growth. Mr. Vaughn also co-founded WINfirst, a fiber-to-the-tome overbuilder which sold to Surewest, and throughout his career held senior positions with Tele-Communications, Inc., Harte-Hanks Communications, Bycom, Inc., Cox Cable Communications Corp. and Viacom, Inc., Central California Communications Corporation and CBS's cable operations. |
Jack Koo, COO/CFO, Director

Mr. Koo serves as JAB's Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Koo has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and corporate finance industries. Koo co-founded FrontierVision Partners, L.P. where he served as Executive Vice President and CFO and later was responsible for the company's operations. In his capacity of CFO, Mr. Koo secured $1.1 billion in private equity, public bonds and senior bank financing. Upon FrontierVision's sale to Adelphia Communications, over $1 billion of equity value was created for FrontierVision investors and management.
Mr. Koo is a principal of Koo Ventures LLC, served as Executive Vice President and CFO of WINfirst, and worked for eleven years as a banker for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce ("CIBC") and Bank of New England (now Bank of America) specializing in telecommunications and media finance. At CIBC, Mr. Koo co-founded the Mezzanine Finance Group. He received a BA in Communications from Vanderbilt University. |
Jeff Kohler, Chief Development Officer, Director, Co-Founder

Jeff Kohler is Co-Founder of JAB Wireless, Inc. and responsible for all merger and acquisition and corporate development activities. Previously, Mr. Kohler served as Director of Corporate Finance with GVC Capital LLC where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital formation within the wireless industry. GVC Capital raised debt and equity capital and assisted in the acquisition of 45 companies for JAB under Mr. Kohler's oversight.
He has over 25 years of business management experience, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and raising private debt and equity capital for emerging companies. Mr. Kohler was CEO and Founder of Reason, Inc., a wireless management services company that was acquired in 2002. He previously held senior positions with AT&T Wireless and McCaw Cellular Communications. Mr. Kohler received his MBA degree from Regis University (Denver), a BSBA from the University of Denver, and is a licensed General Securities Registered Representative. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wireless Communications Association International (WCAI). |
